Plane Pull Special Olympics Southern California

On Saturday, August 11th, Special Olympics Southern California will host its 7th Annual Plane Pull competition. It’s “man vs. machine” as teams of 25 pull a FedEx Airbus 24 feet down the tarmac of Long Beach Airport.

Competition will begin at 10 a.m. Law enforcement agencies, fire departments, as well as power lifters and body builders, unions, private companies, colleges and the local community will compete. The winners will receive trophies for fastest pull, slowest pull and individuals and teams that raise the most money.

In addition to the main competition, the event will include a classic car show, food trucks and kids’ pull for people of all ages to enjoy.
