This informal gathering is also a networking event for those interested in the Long Beach Time Exchange. Founded in 2010, its mission is to build and strengthen relationships within the city of Long Beach by connecting people’s unmet needs and untapped resources. This group of 150+ community-minded residents and organizations uses a system called “time banking,” where members exchange "time dollars," a community currency that uses time as an indicator of value. Earn a time dollar for bringing a dish to this potluck and two if it is an original family recipe.
