Long Beach Bake-Off

BAKE FOR CHARITY'S SAKE! The Long Beach Bake-Off is Oct. 15, 2011 at Bay Shore Church in Belmont Shore. Each category winner's charity will receive CASH! Presented by Justin Rudd! & his nonprofit Community Action Team (CAT).


Deliver your entries from 4-6 p.m. (Yes, your recipe can remain a secret to the public and press. Just write the words "secret recipe" on your entry form, and we promise not to share it.)
 You do not have to be present to win.

Free lot on the corner of The Toledo & Livingston Drive.

Corporate Challenge
ADDED: SoCal bakeries, restaurants, delis, supermarkets and caterers are invited to enter the "corporate challenge" of the Long Beach Bake-Off. Same low $5/advanced entry fee and categories/rules apply, but these corporate entries will be judged apart from the rest of the entries. In lieu of cash prizes, the corportate winners will receive blue ribbons, a frameable winners' certificate, and HUGE bragging rights for a year!

Schedule
- Deliver baked goods to the church hall: 4-6 p.m.
- Private judging: 6-7 p.m.
- Free Horizon Chamber Choir concert: 7:30-9 p.m.
- Reception: 9-10 p.m. (we encourage all entrants to attend)
- Awards announced: 9:15 p.m.

Prizes
Winners' favorite local charity/school/church will split all entry fees collected from the Bake-Off. And the winning bakers will receive blue ribbons. Runners-up in each category will also receive ribbons. Not to mention, you get bragging rights for a year!

According to organizers:

Entry Fees Go to Winners' Charities
$5 per entry, if pre-registered/paid (remember, all fees collected go to the winners' charities/schools)
$10 per entry, if not pre-registered or if you pay on event day
The concert is free if you RSVP at www.JustinRudd.com/concert.html.
Reception is free if you are entered in the contest or if you attend the concert on time (wrist bands will be given out til 7:30 p.m.). $5 for anyone else to attend the reception.
