Allegiant Air Leaving Long Beach Airport

City News Service reported this morning that Long Beach Airport is losing service from Allegiant Air this fall.

Allegiant plans to end its three daily flights from the South Bay airport in November, the Long Beach Press-Telegram reported. A court order limits the airport to 41 passengers flights per day, and Alaska/Horizon, Delta, JetBlue and USAirways will continue to operate their 38 daily flights, said airport director Mario Rodriguez. The airport will conduct a lottery for any interested airline seeking to add or begin service to Long Beach, CNS reported.
