Let's just get this out of the way now. This has nothing to do with local news, civic affairs, or features on hometown heroes.

It is just. Plain. Cute. And its a harmless source of spontaneous grinning. We thought our readers would enjoy it, along with 1 million other unique visitors (59 million total visitors). We are bookmarking this site, which we found on Ustream.

Yikes. Search engine "dutch helicopter cat" to offset...

No se, Pan. Is that a killer cat eating chicks or something? :D
    Roberto June 10, 2012 at 06:32 pm
This reminds me of a new breed of dogs created by mixing existing breeds. A cross between a Pit Bull & Shitzu created the very first Bull Shitz. They were aptly named Hickman, Melendez & Weber whom in the human species certainly are not the first.

Nope, artists again, Nance. Feline drone of sorts.
Notorious acronym sez: "It's a macabre way to honor a beloved family member." http://www.spiegel.de/fotostrecke/photo-gallery-of-cat-helicopter-constructed-by-artist-bart-jansen-fotostrecke-83221.html http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/video/2012/jun/05/catcopter-dutch-artist-amsterdam-video (Although Roberto has provided an apt offset already. Follow links at your own discretion... ;-)

Oh I saw that somewhere but not face-on. Wow, the feline drone when you, as MJ said, never can say goodbye......If I were a criminal, I would really be mortified to be brought down by kitty drone.....My favorite is Daisuki, because she sleeps paws up.

The DARPA version can tase and zip tie you in less than twenty seconds - no shame in being collared by kitty drone. =:-\

I just saw the fattest cat (named Arthur but goes by Goliath) and the most skilled keyboardist of the four-paw variety. http://patch.com/B-Wmb I was afraid of violating Disney with the Thomas O'Malley Aristocats clip....
    Panglonymous June 11, 2012 at 07:59 pm
Disney owned the rights to the images on my bed sheets when I was little. Pee & Em had to check with corporate before I could have a sleepover!

You're welcome. I keep them up now and when a story is taking 2 minutes to load, I click on and just sigh....their bedding seems to have a wardrobe of its own.....

Not direct on point, but this should be of interest:
www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2012/jun/12/london-2012-olympic-opening-ceremony It will be not so much a musical show but a 3hr narrative set to music.

Out of horse, chicken, sheep, which of the offspring is most awww-inspiring, would you say? I say sheep because of the cute bleat, long ears and wonderful gamboling...
    tinytom June 12, 2012 at 01:32 pm
Meant to say semi-interesting. Gamoling - funny. What do you call a Welshman with lots of girlfriends?

Prior to his election as a write-in candidate, Councilman Patrick O'Donnell told the Long BeachRead More Business Journal on February 28, 2012 the following:***** LBBJ: If you win the reelection, will you commit to a full four-year term?***** Councilman O'Donnell: If you run for four, you serve four. ***** LBBJ: So, you're not going to run for Assembly in two years? ***** O'Donnell: Correct. ***** LBBJ: No matter what? ***** O'Donnell: Correct. If you run for four, you serve four. ***** If you can't trust O'Donnell's word, why would anyone vote for him to be their representative for political office? ***** http://www.lbreport.com/news/jan13/odonlbbj.htm
Nancy Wride (Editor) June 3, 2013 at 02:22 pm
And do his supporters care about this, do you think? No doubt others will.
Mike Ruehle June 3, 2013 at 11:43 pm
Regarding, "do O'Donnell's supporters care?", many of O'Donnell's supporters are inRead More elected and appointed public positions, and their support of O'Donnell includes placing the financial burden of a $150,000 special election on the taxpayers. I would think that a responsible journalist would ask each of them about that issue.
This is what the new path will look like.
    Richard May 31, 2013 at 10:54 am
This opinion piece is so full of self-serving hot air it could float. Two paths will make the beachRead More look like a freeway? The author clearly hasn't seen too many freeways lately. Speaking of seeing, if the author would care to spend a little time looking at the beach (which I do on a daily basis, as I live overlooking the Bluff) they would realize that the current bike/pedestrian path is the most heavily used and enjoyed segment of the beach from the Belmont Pier to Shoreline Village. On any given day, there will be hundreds of people on the paths, compared with a handful on the sand itself. The author inadvertently makes that point when he or she writes that the beach "...should be valued for its own recreational value." Clearly, many more people enjoy walking, running or bicycling on the path than on the beach itself. Give the people what they want, and not what a mysterious, nameless, faceless group is trying to block.

Uh, Richard? Opinion pieces are by nature self-serving and one sided. I'm not saying that is agreeRead More with the opinion, just saying that gordana can have her say.
