Watch: Baitfish Shortage Leads to Pelican Die-Off
Pelicans up and down the Southern California coast are dying en-masse from starvation.
Pelicans are dying off all along the Southern California Coast, in this video from Patch fishing columnist ("Off the Hook") Philip Friedman, who blogs also for Philip Friedman Outdoors. One of his other recent videos, taken out of Santa Monica Bay, has a delightful collection of Mola (Sunfish) flocking to a charter boat.
