Wetlands Wildlife Walk

From 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 7th, two ecologists will lead a nature walk through the Long Beach wetlands.  Many creatures reside in the wetlands.  Sea eagles hunt for fish.  An owl makes his home in the ground.  A group of sea turtles has taken up residence where the Haynes Power Plant discharges warm water into the San Gabriel River.   Learn about and look for the creatures of our wetlands.  This two-hour hike is appropriate for age 7 and above.  Park on the inland side of the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and 1st Street, at the border of Long Beach and Seal Beach.  Please RSVP to  Elizabeth at ejlambe@verizon.net.
