Sea Eagles, Turtles, and More: Wetlands Wildlife Walk

See creatures of the wetlands can often be observed on monthly wetlands walks.

Two ecologists will lead a nature walk at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 4 through the Long Beach wetlands, where many creatures reside. Sea eagles hunt for fish.  An owl makes his home in the ground.  Frogs appear in the spring.  A group of sea turtles has taken up residence where the Haynes Power Plant discharges warm water into the San Gabriel River.

Learn about and look for the creatures of our wetlands. This two-hour hike is appropriate for age 7 and above.

Park on the inland side of the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and 1st Street, at the border of Long Beach and Seal Beach.  Please RSVP to  Elizabeth at ejlambe@verizon.net.
