It's the perfect kind of weather - damp with intermittent rain - for this weekend's Southern California freebie extraordinaire: the eighth annual ``Museums Free For All.''
Twenty art galleries, museums and cultural attractions from Long Beach to Pasadena and the Westside of L.A. are offering free entrance Saturday and Sunday.
Museums that are open for free include:
- The Annenberg Space for Photography
- The Autry
- California African American
- California Science Center
- Fowler at UCLA
- Getty Center, and Getty Villa
Also open for free both days are:
the Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum of Latin American Art, the Paley Center for Media, and Skirball Cultural Center.
Free admission will be offered today only at the Santa Monica Museum of Art. And free admission will be offered Sunday only at the Craft and Folk Art Museum, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Museum of Tolerance, the Pacific Asia Museum and the Pasadena Museum of California Art.
Some museums will charge admission to special shows, or for parking, and some require advance reservations. Exact information about that, and operating hours, is available at www/museumsla.org
