Long Beach Reads One Book: Isabel Allende Appearance

Every year, the Long Beach Public Library sponsors a One Book, city-wide reading event. Long Beach Reads One Book encourages everyone in the city to read the same book, and to meet to discuss it in a variety of venues and formats. There will be activities geared for every reading level (elementary school students as well as high school and college students), plus events intended to include senior citizens and book clubs.

Isabel Allende's retelling of the Zorro legend is the perfect book for a city-wide read: it is a page turner with something for everyone.  Set in California, the Caribbean, New Orleans, and Spain, this historical novel is jam-packed with adventure, intrigue, and romance. Allende's trademark wit, beautiful prose, and unforgettable characters are sure to have  the whole city talking!

Thursday, March 22, at 7 pm, welcome Isabel Allende at the Long Beach Terrace Theater!  Tickets are $25 a person (parking is included!), and must be purchased in advance.
