Long Beach Author Michael Buckley Reads

Join Portfolio Coffeehouse for a reading with author Michael Buckley. Buckley will be reading excerpts and signing/selling copies of his book, Miniature Men.

Miniature Men is a collection of short stories, some of which have appeared in national journals (The Alaska Quarterly Review, The Southern California Review, The Best American and Non-Required Read 2003, edited by Dave Eggers).  The stories range from the struggles between fathers and their children to science romances about ninjas and robots.  It was nominated for the PEN Award for New Fiction.

Michael Buckley is a widely published short story writer and an instructor at CSU Dominguez Hills and UCLA Extension.  The Contortionist, his novella of speculative fiction, will be released in 2013. http://mwbuckley.com/
