Limerick Contest, Wearing of the Green Contest

There will be cash prizes this Sat., Mar. 17,  (St. Patrick's Day) for the limerick contest and "wearing of the green" contest, following the monthly 30-Minute Beach Cleanup. 

Cleanup and contests are "rain or shine" at 1 Granada Ave. Free beachfront parking if you attend the 10 a.m. beach cleanup.  Hosted by Justin Rudd!, his nonprofit 501c3 Community Action Team (CAT) and the Miss Long Beach and Miss Southern California Cities pageants. 

Microphone provided.  Two stanza maximum (which is 10 lines; sample limerick above is 10 lines).  About 150-200 spectators (beach cleanup volunteers).  Must be an original limerick and family-friendly.  No required theme.  Prize money compliments of the Long Beach Turkey Trot.
