LA TRAVIATA SERVES UP GLAMOROUS OSCAR NIGHT GALA FEB 27

Unless you have prized tickets to this year’s Academy Awards then the next best thing will be attending the inaugural Oscar Night at La Traviata in Long Beach on Sunday, February 27.  The luxurious Italian dining establishment will have a gala that can only be rivaled by those attending the awards themselves.

The fun begins at 3 p.m. with a cocktail party in the upscale private dining room that features several plasma screens and a giant 15-foot projection screen where guests will watch the Oscar pre-shows and broadcast.  Attendees will be greeted with a glass of Champagne and tickets for two additional cocktails of their choice.  They will receive Oscar ballots where they can make their choices of the top 10 categories (ballots must be turned in no later than 5 p.m.).  The winner(s) will be announced immediately after the broadcast and will be awarded with $100 gift certificates to La Traviata.

Executive Chef Trinidad Betancourt has announced details of the 4-course menu that starts with lobster tortelli (just praised in this month’s Long Beach Magazine); California Meadows Salad of field greens, Champagne vinaigrette, candied walnuts and pear tomatoes; choice of entrees including grilled filet mignon or fresh Chilean sea base;  and a chocolate mousse cake for dessert.
