LA’S BOB BAKER MARIONETTES COMES TO BIXBY PARK FOR FREE CHILDREN’S PUBLIC THEATER PERFORMANCES
LONG BEACH, CALIF. -- Friends of Bixby Park is pleased to announce that it will present Bob Baker Marionettes at Bixby Bandshell for its summer installment of Free Children’s Public Theater at 11 a.m. on August 19th and August 26th. Both performances will be sponsored by Anchor Seaport Escrow. Bob Baker Marionettes have traveled the world performing puppetry and entertaining children and adults. The performances are free to the public. Bixby Park is located on the corner of 1st and Junipero Streets in Long Beach-between Broadway Ave. and Ocean Ave. For more information please visit www.friendsofbixbypark.org.

The public is encouraged to bring a picnic basket and blanket. Friends of Bixby Park has partnered with local restaurants, including Park Pantry, Olives Gourmet Grocer, Café Ambrosia and Paradise Piano Bar & Restaurant, to offer picnic meals for $10 and under. A portion of the funds collected for picnic meals will be donated to Friends of Bixby Park’s Parcel 1 Renovation Project, slated to begin later this year.
