Potterpalooza at 'Deathly Hallows' Premiere [Video]

It was an event that was a generation in the making. Thursday afternoon, fans of the Harry Potter series were lining up in droves to catch the midnight screening of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2" at the AMC Marina Pacifica theaters on Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach.

Fans of all ages began lining up at 3. Some were dressed as their favorite characters, ready to soak up the atmosphere. Others were dressed in street clothes, but all were there to have a good time and celebrate a final outing with their beloved screen and literary hero.

To commemorate what is sure to be a worldwide event, we dispatched a videographer to interview the fans and learn what is it about the Harry Potter books and movies that engenders such a loyal following.
