On A Clear Day You Can See...For Miles
A little rain, a little wind, a lot of cold, and now we have chilly sunshine - and snow! - in Southern California.
After a day and a half of light rain here in Long Beach and a night of 35 m.p.h. winds, we are all left with beautiful blue skies and a view from here to Catalina, Downtown Los Angeles, Mt. Baldy and Big Bear.
It's just one of those days you tell your friends in Seattle or Michigan about. And leave out that you're wearing shorts or flip-flops.
More windy weather greeted Southlanders Wednesday, along with sunny skies and crisp temperatures. The National Weather Service forecast highs of 38 on Mount Wilsonand 60 in downtown L.A., Avalon, Newport Beach, Long Beach and at LAX. A new storm, also from the Gulf of Alaska, is expected to hit by the weekend, with rain forecast for Sunday and showers for Monday, according to the NWS.
