Happy Hounds Seek Happy Homes

These five beautiful dogs are waiting patiently to find their forever homes. One of these males might be the newest sweetheart in your life....

At Hearts for Hounds, dogs have a chance to learn how to be dogs.  They get to interact with other dogs, romp around, relax, get acclimated, go wild, and basically have a grand old time.  In short, they are free to be who they truly are before they set off to join their new families.  In fact, each dog is kept at Hearts for Hounds until they are deemed ready for adoption.  For more information about this wonderful organization, please go here. .  Now, without further ado, here are our five featured dogs of the week.

Sebastian is a 13-pound Cocker Spaniel, Poodle mix (or a Cockapoo).  He is about a year old, and when he comes into the room, you will surely know it.  He doesn’t walk, he prances about with such joyous delight that it makes every on-looker smile.  He is a beautiful pup and he is great with children and other dogs.  If you’d like to meet this handsome male and see if he is the right dog for your family, come on down!

Gadget is one year old and weighs in at eight pounds.  He is a Chihuahua mix with a lot of energy.  He loves to play with people or with other dogs or even a chew toy.  With an all-black coat except for white tipped toes and chest, he is super cute.  He is great with other dogs but it is probably best to keep him away from kids.  Gadget would love to find a home with experienced owners who already have a dog for him to play with.  Is he the dog of your dreams?  There is only one way to find out.

Horatio is a year-old, nine-pound Terrier mix.  This little guy may take a little while to get comfortable with you, but honestly, he is worth the wait.  With those beautiful brown eyes in that wise face, he is sure to snag your heart.  He is great with kids and other dogs.  He would love to find a family and a home to call his own soon, so come on out to meet him and find out for yourself if Horatio might be the dog of your dreams.

Scrappy is a six-pound, three-year-old Chihuahua-Terrier mix.  He has a big personality in that little body, so don’t be fooled by his small stature.  Scrappy likes to play around and enjoy the rough and tumble play of other dogs, but he is a sweetheart.  Ideally, he would love to find a home with experienced owners, another dog, and no kids.  Scrappy can’t wait to find his forever home, so if his big dreamy eyes have won you over, come on down and see if he is the dog for you.

Max is one of those handsome boys you just love to love.  At one year old, he is full-grown and weighs in at 12 pounds.  He is a pure white Maltese Poodle mix (or a Malteepoo) and he has great energy.  When he first gets a chance to meet you, he will be one excited pup, but give him a couple minutes to get used to you, and he is calm and gentle as can be.  He loves a good chew toy and he loves to play with other dogs.  Max is also great with kids.  If he sounds like the kind of guy you would want to invite into your family, he would absolutely love to meet you.
