Deep Water Divers Will Give Live Demos at Aquarium

Port of Long Beach team to guest at 10th annual Divers Day event.

This Sunday, March 27, visitors at the Aquarium of the Pacific will get a rare glimpse of deep sea divers from the Port of Long Beach -- the only port in the country with an underwater salvage-and-recovery diving team.

This 10th annual Divers Day event will feature educational activities and live demonstrations, free with the price of admission. Visitors can learn about the history and recent advancements in diving and watch live demonstrations as divers, including the Port’s team, submerge in the show aquarium.

The Aquarium will also host a large range of organizations that are related to the sport and science of diving. The diving community is invited to find out about volunteer diving and other opportunities for involvement with dive-related organizations in Southern California.
