Chance of Rain Tonight and Cooling Trend This Week

Temperatures in the Belmont Shore area are expected to slowly rise to the low 70s by Thursday.

Today’s high temperature barely qualifies as a ‘high’ temperature, at least for mid-May.

According to the National Weather Service, the local temperature is expected to reach the mid-to-high 60s as low clouds move in and bring a slight chance of overnight showers, fog and cool temperatures with a low of 50. There is a 20 percent chance of rain overnight, and Tuesday is expected to be mostly sunny and slightly warmer. Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 67 in the Shore on Tuesday.

As the week wears on, forecasters expect some patchy clouds and very slight warming with highs in the low 70s throughout much of the week. At this point, it looks like Thursday will be the warmest day of the week with a high of 72.
