Bare Naked Ladies from PETA Shower on Second Street

The pair of women soaped and rinsed on the sidewalk to promote Water Conservation Day.

On Wednesday, two nude women from PETA soaped up and showered on the sidewalk in sight of the Belmont Shore Bank of America to urge water conservation by going vegan.

A banner boxing them in and shielding them from the armpits down read:

"Clean Your Conscience: Go Vegan! 1 lb. of Meat Equals 6 Months of Showers." The two lathered and rinsed under a portable shower head, enjoying the attention of a small crowd of curious passers-by--and the local media.

The stunt was intended to mark World Water Day, and the two women wanted consumers to know that the best way to conserve water and to help the environment is to go vegan. On this one-minute YouTube, a man can be heard remarking with what sounds like an Australian accent:

"This is one of the best Wednesday mornings ever."
