‘FREE CONCERT IN SIGNAL HILL PARK’ ‘SALUTE TO OUR VETERANS’ SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2013 3:00PM-5:00PM

On Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 3pm to 5pm there will be a free Concert in Signal Hill Park on the Corner of Cherry Ave and Hill St, 90755.  The concert is planned to honor Signal Hill and  the surrounding area Veterans and their families.

 

Meet Mr. Richard Lubner, a WWII US Marine Machine Gunner Corp Iwo Jima Veteran who personally watched the raising of our US flag on Iwo Jima.  There will also be some military vehicles present and Rock For Vets (a music education program servicing Veterans of all ages and abilities) will be performing.  Rock For Vets is a band made up of Veterans from the VA Long Beach.  Also performing will be the Long Beach Community Band, which has been entertaining Long Beach residents since 1947, which is made up of over 60 musicians.

Please show your support and attend this free concert to salute our Nations heroes.  Bring a lawn chair and something to eat and enjoy live music.
