Boat Reportedly Sailing From Long Beach Runs Aground

The U.S. Coast Guard along with state and local agencies are responding to a sailboat which ran aground on Huntington Beach.

The owner of the 30-foot sailboat was reportedly sailing it from Long Beach, Calif., to San Diego, Calif., when it accidentally grounded approximately 1 mile north of Newport Beach, Calif., at around 9 p.m., Monday, July 1. No pollution appears to have reached the water, the Coast Guard said.
