A Possibly Pivotal Moment In LB History
Gentleman from a LB commercial real estate concern:
...I want you to think, everbody at the Council chamber right here, think of where you bought your last tie, where you bought your last jacket, was it in Long Beach? Probably wasn't.
See, Gary's wearing um... I've worked at Nordstrom, I recognize that tie from Nordstrom, [laughter] it's a regimental, it's kind of nice.
Um, O'Donnell did buy it here at Target, look at that shirt he got it here at Target, [laughter] so he's buying local, he's supporting the local group.
[The gentleman goes on to endorse a commercial property owner as a "regular guy like you and I" and suggests citizens embrace him enthusiastically as a member of the community.]
