Ms. Price was promoted to her current position in November 2011, and is responsible for Healthy Eating, Active Lifestyle and Wellness programs; combating childhood obesity and diabetes; and providing services for at-risk youth and people experiencing homelessness.
Ms. Price began her career with the City of Long Beach in February 2003, when she was hired as the Homeless Services Officer.
She also has experience as a medical social worker, youth counselor and nonprofit program manager. She has a Masters in Social Work and Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology, both from California State University, Long Beach.
