5 Things: Seal Pup, Buskerfest and Honoring Military Personnel

Five things you need to know about Belmont Shore-Naples today.

1.      Long Beach will hold a ceremony to raise Gold Star and Blue Star flags honoring military personnel at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. The flags will fly at the City Hall Plaza — making Long Beach the first U.S. city to fly the flags permanently.

2.      Aquarium of the Pacific’s newest pup debuted to the public Wednesday. The pup, weighing 66 pounds, is the second baby seal to be born at the aquarium. Full-grown, he could weigh up to 250 pounds.
