1. Beware the Southern California Edison scam artists, the utility warned customers Thursday. Impostors have been calling SCE customers and telling them they must pay past due bills immediately or have their electric service disconnected, according to the utility.
2. Reminder that the free 2nd Annual Latin Jazz & Blues Festival is this Saturday at Houghton Park, 6301 Myrtle Ave., in Long Beach. Performances are from 12 noon-8 p.m. Free and open to all ages, there will be a Kids Zone, food trucks and a Vendor Fair. Info: (562) 570-6137 or the show's Facebook page. An early heads-up if you plan to commute via Metro train from Long Beach to the Justin Timberlake-Jay Z concert at the Rose Bowl this weekend: Most Metro rail lines, along with the Orange and Silver bus lines, will run a little later Sunday night into Monday morning to accommodate crowds expected to attend. City News Service reports that on the Blue Line, the final train to Long Beach will leave the Seventh/Metro station at 2:05 a.m.
